The network division of Financial Systems Services provides computer hardware and software support for all computer users in Finance and Administrative Services, Academic Affairs, Research and Graduate Studies and the Chancellor's Office. The staff is available by phone, e-mail, and in person on the second floor of Thomas Boyd Hall (216D).
The services provided are as follows:
- Analyze and recommend computer products for departmental purchases.
- Daily help desk support for all computer related problems.
- Software assistance on all supported applications, including the Lotus SmartSuite, WordPerfect, Lotus Notes, Netscape, LSU Mainframe, and Microsoft Office applications.
Statement of User Responsibility
- Each user accepts full responsibility for all accounts and activities performed on university computing resources. Resources must be used only for the purposes in which they are intended. This includes authorized research, instructional, and administrative activities.
- Authorized users are responsible for the security and use of computer accounts including Windows XP, e-mail, and mainframe.
- No user may alter the current software specifications of his/her machine.
