What is a Purchase Order Alteration?
A purchase order alteration alters a purchase order that has been released to a vendor. A purchase order is the complete up to date order.
Who creates an Alteration?
A department or the purchasing office can create an alteration. If a department initiates an alteration it must be released to purchasing. If the alteration is only changing accounting information. The system will change the status to RLV and update GL with the changes.
How do I create a PO Alteration?
An alteration is created from the header of a PO that is in RLV status. Click the Create Alteration button on the PO Header.

INC (Incomplete) - The purchase order alteration has been created. At this status, no recieivng against the PO can take place. Also another alteration can not be created.
BAL (Balanced) - The total cost of items and the total account amount is equal. Can now be released to Purchasing.
RPUR (Released to Purchasing) - The alteration has been released to purchasing for further processing.
RLV (Released to Vendor) - The alteration has been released to vendor.
CAN (Cancelled) - The alteration has cancelled the purchase order.

All information from the PO will copy over. Make needed changes to header and click Change.
Items[Back to Top]
All items from the PO will copy over. Make any needed changes and click Change. Items can not be deleted, the quantity should be changed to zero.

The Ship To address can be changed if needed. Make any changes and click Change. For help on the Ship screen, please see the Ship section on the Requisition help document.
T & C[Back to Top]
All terms and conditions will be copied to the alteration. Terms and conditions can be added, changed, or deleted. For help with terms and conditions, please see the T&C section of the Requisition Help document.

All attachments will be copied to the alteration. Attachments can be added, changed, or deleted. For help with attachments, please see the Attach section of the Requisition Help document.
Send [Back to Top]
