Training Classes
The following classes are offered by the Office of Purchasing periodically throughout the year:
Introduction to PRO:
Program Summary: This class provides the “how-to” essentials of the purchasing process. It provides instructions regarding when competition is required; includes directions for searching the state contract database; provides step by step instructions for creating requisitions and PO alterations; and provides directions on how to navigate between PRO screens and how to use the search/tracking features of the procurement system.
Creating Departmental Solicitations:
Program Summary: This class provides step by step instructions for creating departmental solicitations, including: creating the RFQ, specifications, bid tabulation, and award recommendations.
Creating Requisitions for Professional, Personal, Consulting, and Social Services (PPCS):
Program Summary: This class provides step-by-step instructions for creating requisitions and purchase order alterations that are specific to the PPCS process. The class also provides detailed instructions on the requirements of the PPCS contract and contract amendment process such as required contract-related documents (i.e. W9 form, PUR-CR form, PUR-SS form, AS516 form, etc); contract negotiations; and Office of Contractual Review (OCR) requirements.
